KYWAY MONT BLANC
The dream came true: after four years of work and 105 million euros invested, the Sky Way Mont Blanc, the eighth wonder of the world, opens to the public. A futuristic cable made of glass and steel connects Courmayeur to the 3.492 meters-high Punta Helbronner, in the Mont Blanc massif. Entering the rotating cable and arriving on the panoramic terrace, where it feels like you can grab all of the western Alps, is a unique emotion. The new structure is equipped with every comfort and many attractions, a congress centre, the crystal museum and a botanical garden among the highest in the Alps. The structure was born in the '50s with the aim of connecting Courmayeur and Chamonix (France) with a real cable car in the middle of the glaciers that crosses the Alps between the French town, l'Aiguille du Midi (3.842 meters) and the Gros Rognon (3.541 meters).

Cattle herds spend the winters in the lower parts of the valley and in summer, they make their way up to the highest pastures.
